Mainstream media reaches out to Max’s Restaurant during Mayweather versus Philippine’s very own, Pacquiao, during May 2nd Boxing Match!

7 May 2015 –  May 2nd was the day that Filipino Communities across the world have been anxiously waiting for. Tagged as the “Fight of the Century” and for others, the “Fight of the Millenium”, it was the much awaited fight between Floyd Mayweather and our very own kababayan, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.

Three(3) of Max’s locations in North America, namely Max’s Dillingham, Max’s Edmonton and Max’s Vancouver had put on a Live Pay Per View Showing — and as expected the restaurants were jam-packed!

It was also the time that many mainstream media reaches out to Max’s Restaurant to get some insights on the Filipino Community in North America.

“The fight at Max’s Dillingham (A.K.A. in the community as Max’s of Manila Iwilei) was televised LIVE by a local affiliate of NBC. For Max’s Vancouver, Vancity Buzz, an online community news media, reached out to ask what we think of the fight and how our community is supporting Manny Pacquiao.” Says Gretchen Sibayan, CFE, Franchise Operations Manager for Max’s Group, Inc., International.

“We are very flattered and grateful that the mainstream media would ask for our input during a very important occasion such as this. Max’s Restaurant appeared to have become a “Go To” for answers when there is something important that is happening in the Filipino community in the international scene.” Continues Ms. Sibayan.
